During her time there, Katy earned a reputation as a fearless litigator, a thorough researcher, and an aggressive advocate for her clients. Esquivel Law Chartered is one of the few firms in the nation that is focused on delivering legal services to the produce, transportation and cannabis industries. Katy has 20 years’ experience representing clients in cases involving the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act (PACA), a federal trust to protect members of the produce industry. Over time, the firm’s practice has expanded to include the transportation law, representing shippers and brokers in drafting contracts and navigating legal disputes. Katy’s knowledge of agribusiness and transportation made the recent expansion of the firm’s practice to include cannabis law a natural evolution.
