Biography

Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Mike found himself on the yellow footprints at Paris Island as a Marine Recruit at the age of 17. After proudly serving the country as a Marine, the core values of the Marine Corp are engrained in Mike’s ethos. Mike earned his BSBA in Management from John Carroll University and followed his father’s footsteps earning his Juris Doctorate from the Cleveland Marshall Law School at Cleveland State University in 1990.

With over 30 years of experience in state and federal courts throughout the United States, the Courtroom is Mike’s natural habitat. If you can think of a particular legal area, Mike has likely tried a case related to the same. Mike has tried cases from PACA and Transportation Litigation to Lender Liability Litigation, an extensive range of Domestic Relations Litigation and criminal matters, including Complicity to Commit Aggravated Murder, and everything in between. Mike’s diverse and comprehensive experience, along with his reputation for being a fierce, yet practical, litigator, has also, in turn, made Mike a trusted and knowledgeable legal advisor in multifaceted corporate and transactional matters. Quite simply, if faced with a difficult challenge, Mike is your solution to have the trust and confidence required to ensure that your interests before any tribunal or with any counterpart will have the utmost zealous advocacy.

After living in an urban environment for the majority of his life, along with the technical evolution of the practice of law, Mike has embraced the peacefulness of living in Southeastern Ohio with his beloved, yet mischievous Bouvier Des Flanders, Duke, Havoc and Reagan. Cooking is one of Mike’s passions in which, like the practice of law, no culinary challenge is daunting. Mike also spends hours, when the Ohio weather cooperates, tending to his garden. Mike is an avid reader and is a dedicated fan of the Cleveland Guardians and Cleveland Browns.
